Subscription Update Obituary

     Teresa V. (Kotomski) Shablin, 87, of Auburn, passed away, Friday, January 10, 2014 in The Meadows of Leicester, (Vibra Healthcare). Her husband, Vitte W. Shablin died in 2000. She is survived by two sons, David V. Shablin of Auburn, Steven J. Shablin and his wife, Leslie of Rochester Hills, MI; three daughters, Karen A. Braasch and her husband Charles of Watertown, WI, Paula M. Gagnon and her husband Bernard of Auburn, Lisabeth T. Shablin and her wife Cynthia Barr of Hamburg, NJ; six grandchildren, Charles Braasch, Jr., William Braasch, John Dudek, Meghan Dudek, Lindsay Gagnon and Julia Shablin; nieces and nephews. One of nine children, she was born a daughter of John and Antonina (Getek) Kotomski.

     Mrs. Shablin was a homemaker and mother to her five children. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She was proud of her Polish heritage and shared that with her family. Her family was the center of her life. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of The Meadows of Leicester and Notre Dame Hospice for the kindness and care provided their mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa, 34 Ward St, Worcester, MA. 01610.

     The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park.
