Ted Stephan Kaczynski, age 69, died Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  He leaves his wife of 42 years, Joyce A. (Reed) Kaczynski, his brother Michael Kaczynski and his partner Lisa Scola, of Dudley, his sister-in-law Paula Kaczynski, and several nieces and nephews.  Ted was predeceased by his siblings Paul and Linda Kaczynski.

A son of Stanley and Lillian (Akstens) Kaczynski, Ted was born in Worcester December 15, 1955.  He graduated in 1973 from St. Mary’s High School in Worcester.  After working several decades with Roofers’ Local 33, he retired in 2020.  Prior to working with the union, Ted worked for Sweet Life after high school and in the early 1990’s he owned the Oxford Tavern in Oxford.

Joyce and Ted always had dogs, German Shepherds specifically.  Their dogs Karma and Tashia were a source of happiness for them.  After retiring, Ted became an avid golfer; he was either at home or at Heritage Country Club where he was a member.  He was a huge Alabama football fan as well as the Miami Dolphins.
