Taimi I. (Salo) Day, 93, of Worcester passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 in the Parson Hill Nursing Center. Her husband, Edward W. Day predeceased her in 2001.
     She leaves five daughters; Joyce Johnson (Hilton) of Massachusetts, Janice S. Bullock of Worcester, Priscilla L. Day of Indiana, Cynthia Gast (Peter) of Indiana and Linda L. Massey (Wally) of Rutland. She also leaves ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Lila Horton.
     She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Mathilda (Humlin) Salo and graduated from Commerce High School. Taimi was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
     Taimi’s funeral service and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Taimi’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice . Arrangements are under the care of CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street.
