     Susan (Peters) Rainsford 64, of Bay Path Rd., Spencer died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
     She leaves her husband of 42 years, Arthur V. Rainsford, her son Keith B. Rainsford and his wife Amy of Rowley, her daughter Kara A. Goodall and her husband Bryan of Worcester her brother Ronald G. Peters of Worcester, four sisters Sandra E. Jerome and her husband George of Leicester, Karen R. Frykberg and her husband Glenn of Spencer, Janice E. Peters and her husband Charles Cummiskey of Spencer and Michele C. Rutman of Worcester, her father in law Vernon Rainsford of Auburn, and sister in law Alva Rainsford of Auburn, 5 grandchildren Jakob, Abigail and Lukas Rainsford, Emily and Olivia Goodall and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Aleck and Jean (Cutting) Peters.
     Sue was a manager at Verizon for 39 years, retiring in 2003. She graduated from South High School in 1966. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester for 9 years, which she affectionately called “her second family”.
     An avid reader, she loved animals especially cats. She enjoyed traveling with her faithful companions. She was a devoted member of Curves in Spencer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 4 at 10a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 375 Longwood Ave., Boston, Ma. 02115.
