Subscription Update Obituary

    Stella R. (Ferraro) Bisceglia, 84, of Worcester died peacefully Thursday August 5, 2010 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her husband George Bisceglia died November 23, 2006.

    She is survived by her loving children; two sons, George A. Bisceglia, Jr. and his wife Laura of San Jose, CA, Brian Bisceglia and Ann of Worcester; a daughter, Theresa Bisceglia and her fiancé Daniel DePalo of Worcester; a brother, Domenic Ferraro of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Ashley Doucette, Courtney  Bisceglia, Tamera Jennings, Joseph Dooley lll, Anthony and Matthew Bisceglia and Valerie Sophos; four great grandchildren, Desiree and Marrissa  LeBoeuf, and Jonathan and Amelia Doucette, many nephews and nieces. Stella was predeceased by four brothers, Anthony, George, James, and Pasquale Ferraro, and three sisters, Christine Viens, Irene Cronin, and Rose Gallagher.

    Stella was born in Worcester daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Altomare) Ferraro and lived here all her life. She worked as a seamstress many years at the former Worcester Knitting Company, and enjoyed being a home maker. Stella was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Chuch. She enjoyed going to bingo, but her most precious times were those spent with her family especially the grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends.

    Stella's funeral will be held Wednesday, August 11, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Rd. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday from 5PM to 8PM. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
