Subscription Update Obituary

     Signe J. (Anderson) Johnson, 89, passed away Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 at The Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center at Charlton. Signe’s first husband, Einar Lolax passed away in 1968 and her second husband, Raymond H. Johnson in 1993. She leaves behind her son, Richard C. Lolax and his wife Theresa of Auburn; two stepdaughters, Karen Alden of Hyannis and Christine Shusas of Worcester; two grandchildren, Joshua P. and Daniel A. Lolax; three great grandchildren, Rachel, Courtney and Ivy; her brother, Frank Anderson of Worcester; two sisters, Alice Crouse of Shrewsbury and Ruth Johnson of Worcester. She was predeceased by her great grandson, Carter; two brothers, Helmer and John Anderson and a sister, Evelyn Hagerstrom.

     Signe was born in Worcester the daughter of John S. and Ellen (Jernstrom) Anderson and graduated from Commerce High School. Signe worked as a secretary at State Mutual for many years before retiring. She was a former member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. Signe’s family would like to the nurses and staff at the Overlook for the compassionate care given to Signe during her stay there.

     Funeral services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton are private. Arrangements are in the care of LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St., Worcester.
