Shirley T. (Caron) Hebert, 90, of Auburn and formerly of Leicester, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, while in the loving home of her daughter, Susan.

Shirl was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest A. Hebert, who passed in 2014 after 60 wonderful years of marriage. She leaves her loving family: daughter, Susan M. D’Amato, of Auburn; son, James E. Hebert, of Lunenburg; and daughter, Arlene M. Hebert, of Seattle, WA; her cherished granddaughter, Amanda Brown, of Worcester, and her daughters, Kaylin, Candace, and Harmony, all of whom Shirley adored; as well as her nephews, Richard and Christopher Caron. She was also predeceased by her brother, Richard Caron and his wife Carol.

Shirley was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Wilfred and Helen (Murphy) Caron. She attended Commerce High School. Shirl worked at Saint Vincent Hospital for many years, starting out as a volunteer and then became a front office administrator, from which she retired.

In her free time, Shirl loved knitting, and especially loved making little hats for the babies at the hospital. She also enjoyed journaling, singing in the choir at Our Lady of the Angels Church, and loved breaking out in song.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate), to honor Shirley’s love for children.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for her graveside service, which will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in the Garden of Serenity section at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton.
