Subscription Update Obituary

     Shirley M. (Chase) McIntyre, 90, the last surviving child of 18, passed away at home on Friday, June 27th surrounded by family. Shirley’s husband, John E. McIntyre passed away in 1977. She leaves behind her longtime companion of 35 years, Leonard Nelson with whom she lived; three sons, Patrick K. of N. Brookfield, Michael B. of Sutton and Kevin P. of Martha’s Vineyard, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was born in Holyoke the daughter of Earl and Nina Chase. She and her husband, John owned and operated McIntyre Baby Furniture Store in Worcester for many years. Shirley was a caring and devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
