Subscription Update Obituary

     Shirley M. (Mossa) Gordon, 69, died on Wednesday, November 24th in the St. Anthony Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL after an illness.

     Her husband Raymond J. Gordon died in 1998. She is survived by three sons, Raymond Gordon Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, Michael Gordon of Jefferson, MA and Stephen Salmi of Warren, MA; two step daughters, Sandra Hunting of Alstead, NH and Francesca "Peggy" Marengo of Maine; three brothers, George Mossa of St. Petersburg, FL, Eugene Mossa of Millbury, MA and Richard Mossa of Northbridge, MA; two sisters, Phyllis Lavallee of St. Petersburg, FL and Mary Lyons of Worcester, MA; 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

     Shirley was born in Worcester daughter of the late George and Bernadette (Fields) Mossa and was raised in Millbury. She is predeceased by a brother Edward and two sisters Florence and Joanne.

     Mrs. Gordon worked in Florida as a driver for the Hertz Rental Car Company and previously worked at the Howard Glass Company in Millbury before moving to Florida. She enjoyed plastic canvassing, knitting and reading as well as being a NASCAR fan.

     A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 10 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling Hours are on Friday, December 3rd from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Suncoast Hospice 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, FL 33760.
