Subscription Update Obituary

     Shirley Elizabeth Berquist was born in Worcester on October 21, 1925 and passed away at Knollwood Nursing Home on October 17, 2013. She was married to her late husband, Robert L. Berquist for over 50 years. Her two sisters, Ruth E. Larson and Millie E. Lagerstrom and sole brother, Carl Lagerstrom, predeceased her; and one sister, Norma E. Smith resides in New Hampshire. She graduated from Commerce High School and attended Leslie College in Boston. She spent many years as a baker for The Crown Bakery, and then in later years worked helping the elderly in their homes. She enjoyed toile painting, sewing, and knitting. She also liked to travel.

     She leaves her son, Robert L Berquist, and his wife Linda of Voorheesville, New York with their children, Krysta and Jonathan. She also leaves her daughter Sally E Agurkis, her husband James of West Boylston and their children: Patrick, and his daughter Paige; Andrew, his wife Angela and their daughter Sophia; Timothy and his girlfriend, Audrena. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, and her beloved cousin, the Rev. Paul W. Goranson.

     The funeral service will be held at 11 am. on Tuesday, October 22 at Caswell- King Funeral Home, 474 Grove Street in Worcester. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service. The family requests that no flowers be sent to the funeral home.
