Subscription Update Obituary

    Shirley A. Hines, 90, of Worcester died peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in the Hermitage Golden Living Ctr. She leaves two nieces, Sandra Werme of Worcester and Joan Haase of Santa Rosa, CA, two nephews, Peter Werme of Sherman, CT and Robert Werme of Montana, two cousins, Lois Knott of Bellingham and Elinor Bucklar of Florida. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Boyd J. and Anna (Knott) Hines. Miss Hines worked for Worcester Pressed Steel for almost 25 yrs. and then spent several years at Reed & Prince Manufacturing as a sales correspondent before retiring in 1983.

    She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WW2. Shirley was an extremely talented seamstress who did many types of needlework and was a member of United Congregational Church in Worcester. A Graveside service will be held at 2 pm. Wednesday, July 28th in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. CASWELL-KING FUNERAL HOME, 474 Grove St. Worcester is directing arrangements.
