Shirley A. (Lareau) Cutroni, 67, of Charlton, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital.
Her husband of 37 years, Albert C. Cutroni, died in 2002. She leaves her son, Christopher M. Cutroni and his wife Melissa of Charlton; her daughter, Michele A. Greenough and her husband Brian of Charlton; her brother, Raymond G. Lareau and his wife Carol of Worcester; three sisters: Margaret M. Peltola and her husband Martti of Westminster, Marion J. Walters and her husband Herbert of North Grafton and Evelyn T. O’Brien of Worcester; four grandchildren: Ashley and Christian Cutroni and Jacob and Connor Greenough, all of Charlton; her brother-in-law James Cutroni and his wife Joan of Shrewsbury; several nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Cutroni was born in Worcester, the daughter of Raymond A. and Carmella A. (Renzoni) Lareau. She was a 1961 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and obtained her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Education from Worcester State College. She was the Program Coordinator for the After School Program in the towns of Westborough and Northborough, was previously a teacher in the Worcester Public School System and had also worked at the Worcester Police Department. Mrs. Cutroni was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Parish. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing Scrabble and BINGO, doing crossword puzzles and reading.
The funeral is Saturday, January 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, January 28th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
