Subscription Update Obituary

Shawn Michael Perrin, age 52, of Webster, MA, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge.

Shawn was born in Southbridge, MA, son of Margaret R. (Everson) Perrin and Varrell M. Perrin.  He lived in the Webster area most of his life.  He was last employed as a shipping and receiving clerk at American Optical, retiring due to illness.

Shawn enjoyed playing guitar with his mother and his late brother Kerry.  Shawn loved all types of music, fishing, antiquing, motorcycles and antique cars.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Margaret R. (Everson) Perrin of Southbridge; his father, Varrell M. Perrin of Southbridge; a daughter, Aleyah Rose Lavoie; a son, Shawn Taylor; a granddaughter, Nova Lavoie; his uncles, William “Uncle Billy” Everson of Worcester, Arthur Scott of Massachusetts; his aunts, Alice Everson of New Hampshire, Dorothy Scott of Massachusetts; his cousins, Candy Thompson of Leicester, Eddie Bolduc of New Hampshire, Lisa Hatheway of Connecticut and several other cousins; his close friend, Daniel “Pops” Miller of Connecticut.  He was predeceased by a brother, Kerry Varrell Perrin; by his grandmother, Rose Nelson; his grandfather, Walter Scott; his uncles, Walter Scott, Tommy Scott and David Everson; by an aunt, Roseann Scott; and a cousin, Brenda Lee Hatheway. 

Private committal services will be held at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home & Cremation, 48 School Street, Webster, MA.
