Subscription Update Obituary

    Sharon Nelson, 46, died July 4, 2009, at the Marquardt Nursing Center, Waltham.

    She leaves her stepmother, Constance V. Nelson of Worcester, four sisters, Lynda A. Kilgore of Millbury, Mary Jane Castro of Sturbridge, Sandra Pepper of Worcester and Catherine O'Keefe, two brothers, Gary Nelson and Richard O'Keefe, and several nephews and nieces.

    Sharon was born in Worcester, daughter of Linwood Carl and Helen (Hajjar) Nelson. For more than 40 years, Sharon has been a resident at the Fernald School in Waltham.

    Sharon was an angel in the life of her family who deeply loved her and will dearly miss her.

    Funeral services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, will be private. There are no calling hours.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fernald Center, 200 Trapelo Road, Waltham 02452. The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster Street, Worcester is directing arrangements.
