Subscription Update Obituary

     Selena M. Lynch – Pearlstein, 40, of Oxford, died on Saturday, May 3rd with her family by her side in the Oakwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Webster after a battle with cancer.

     Selena leaves behind two sons, Vincent L. Pearlstein of Worcester and Logan C. Buteau of Oxford; her brothers and sisters, Norman Shields Jr. and his wife Mi-Kyong of Goodyear, AZ, Donna J. Berard and her husband Paul of Clifton Park, NY and Carol S. Smith and her husband Dale of Colchester, CT and William Shields of CT; a granddaughter, Irene; her father, James J. Lynch of Arizona; her grandmother, Flora H. Kroher of Worcester and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

     Selena was born in Manchester, CT and is predeceased by her parents, Norman Shields and Roberta (Hublitz) Lynch Rush. She is a graduate of South High School.

     Selena lived a short life, but she touched many lives during her time here with her friends and family. She had many friends that treated her like family and she had a special love for those that were in her life, she held a special place in her heart for her beloved Benjamin Hernandez, and Shannon. Selena could be found many nights at the Ranch on James St. in Worcester where she enjoyed country line dancing. She also enjoyed photography and scrapbooking.

     A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 7th at 10 AM in Faith Baptist Church 22 Faith Avenue, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, May 6th from 4 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester.
