Subscription Update Obituary

   Scott J. Migala, 57, of Worcester, died Friday, March 27, 2009 at his home after an illness.

   He leaves his wife of 34 years, Patricia C. (Kaderovich) Migala; a son, Christopher M. Migala and his wife Lindsay of Grafton; a brother, J. Marc Migala and his wife Mary of Hummelstown, Penn.; two nephews, a niece, and his mother-in-law, Jennie Kaderovich of Millbury.

   Scott was born in Worcester, son of Joseph A. and Shirley A. (Remillard) Migala. He graduated from Burncoat High School, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and earned a master degree from Anna Maria College in Paxton. He also attended The Culinary Institute in New Haven.

   Scott was director of food services for the Mass. Dept. of Corrections facility in Concord for the past twelve years. Previously, he worked in food services for the Mass. Dept. of Mental Health for many years.

   Scott loved to cook, garden and travel. He was a wonderful husband and father.

   Calling hours are Sunday, March 29 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Monday, March 30 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Boston 02210.
