Subscription Update Obituary

     Sallie A. (Makie) Gabriella, 75, passed away at her home, Thursday May 15th with her family by her side.

     Sallie leaves her loving husband of fifty- five years, Charles Gabriella, two sons, Joseph Gabriella and his wife Kimberly of Millbury, Paul Gabriella and his wife Heather of Ct,; three daughters, Dianne Jones and her husband Ronald of Westminster, JoAnne Carlson of Arizona, and Lori Venie of New Hampshire; two brothers, Paul Makie and his wife Karen of South Carolina, Henry Makie of New Hampshire; 15 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

     Sallie was born August 29, 1938 in Worcester, a daughter of the late Vennie and Elsie (Niemi) Makie.

     She was a graduate of Commerce High School and later went on to become a hairdresser from the Fanning Girls Trade School.

     She worked as a hairdresser for many years but for the last twenty plus years she worked as a bank teller for Digital Credit Union in Westborough up until her retirement in 2004.

     Sallie enjoyed spending time with her family at the house on Lake Quinsigamond.

     Her funeral will take place on Monday May 19th at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St Worcester at 10:00am. Internment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, May 18th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Funeral Home. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in Sallie’s memory to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St. Framingham, Ma. 01701. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M.
