Subscription Update Obituary

   Roy E. Gustafson, 75, of 47 Annis Drive, Gilford, NH, died at his home, on Friday, June 30, 2006.

   Mr. Gustafson was born February 6, 1931 in Worcester, the son of Roy S. and Gladys (Barbatti) Gustafson. He had lived most of his life in Massachusetts coming to New Hampshire 20 years ago from Framingham. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 142 of Ashburnham.

   Mr. Gustafson had been employed by Southworth-Milton as a diesel mechanic for many years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia.

   Survivors include his wife, Faith B. (McLaughlin) Gustafson of Gilford; 4 sons, Keith Gustafson of Fitzwilliam, NH, John Wagstaff of Martha’s Vineyard, David Wagstaff of Belmont, NH and Charles Wagstaff of FL; 4 daughters, Christian Gibbs and Susan Ruth both of Gardner, Bettyann Cernese of Pepperell and Cassandra Toshack of Medway; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Robert Gustafson of Ocala, FL; a nephew and a niece.

   There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Worcester County Memorial Park, Richards Ave., Paxton, MA.

   A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 30 Church St., Laconia, NH, Friday July 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Gary Kosmowski pastor of the church will celebrate the Mass.
