Subscription Update Obituary

   Rosemary E. (Cotter) Naughton 82, of Worcester died Thurs., Feb. 5 in The Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband of 44 years, Francis X. Naughton died in 1999. She leaves a son, Thomas J. Naughton and his wife DeeDee-Anne of Worcester; seven daughters, Patricia Stakun and her husband David of Doylestown, PA, Kathleen Head and her husband Joe of Littleton, NH, Margaret Mary Hoogasian and her husband Jim of Shrewsbury, Marie McGrail and her husband Dick of Westwood, Anne Livingston and her husband David, of Anchorage, AK, Rosemary Naughton and her partner Jackie Sproul of Worcester and Joan Naughton both of Worcester; A brother, Francis X. Cotter of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Sr. Miriam Esther Naughton, SSJ of Flourtown, PA; eleven grandchildren; Kelly, Becky, Katelyn, Jamie, Joey, Timmy, Brendan, Christine, Emily, Francis and Kirsten; one great grand-daughter, Rowan and nieces and nephews. A son, Francis X. Naughton, Jr. and two sisters, Dorothy Collette and Ruth Connors predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Thomas F. and Teresa (Gannon) Cotter and graduated from Elms College and received her Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University.

   Rosemary was a social worker for Catholic Charities in New York City, working with foster children and their parents. She then returned to Worcester and worked at Family Services and the Nazareth Home for Boys. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. The family would like to thank Dodge Park Rest Home for all their wonderful care.

   The funeral will be held Mon., Feb. 9, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., West Boylston with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Sun., Feb. 8, from 3 to 6 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the Nazareth Home for Boys, 77 Mulberry St., Leicester, 01524.
