Subscription Update Obituary

    Rose (Egazarian) Sachetto, 86, of 11 Marble St., died peacefully at her home on Friday, February 4, 2011 surrounded by friends and family. Her husband, James V. Sachetto, died in 1995.

    She leaves 2 daughters: Roxane Waters of Worcester, MA with whom she lived and Christine M. Valenti and husband Thomas G. Valenti of Worcester; a brother, Harry Egazarian of East Hartford, CT, and a sister, Margaret Urbec of Westerly, RI.

    Born in Worcester, daughter of Kachadoor and Araxe (Assadoorian) Egazarian, she graduated from Girls Trade High School and was an Assistant Manager at Weintraubs Fabric Store for 18 years, retiring in 1989. She was a long-time member of Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church, its choir, and was also a highly regarded soloist with the Worcester Light Opera Club, and in the Messiah Chorus at the Music Festival. She was a troop leader in the Girl Scouts.

    Her family wants to express their heartfelt thanks for the loving kindness to Rose by her caregiver, Suzanne Jackson and the doctors and staff of Summit Elder Care.

    A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 in Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove St. Burial will be in Worcester Co. Memorial Park. Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 in Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St. In the event of inclement weather, there will also be a calling hour preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
