Subscription Update Obituary

     Rose M. (Buffone) Varieur, 97, formerly of 291 Hamilton St passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 5th 2014.

     Rose was born in Worcester; she was one of 12 children of Giuseppe and Antoinette (Belsito) Buffone and has lived here all her life.

     Rose’s husband Rionelf Varieur passed away in 1978. She leaves many extended family members in the Worcester Area.

     Rose worked as a stitcher for the former Worcester Knitting Company before retiring.

     Funeral services for Rose will be held Wednesday January 8th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where her Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held Wednesday from 9 am to 10 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Millbury Health and Rehabilitation Center, 312 Millbury Ave. Millbury 01527.
