Rose Marie (Doherty) DiMarzio, 73, passed away peacefully on January 30, after a brief struggle with cancer.

    She leaves her husband of 55 years, Albert R. DiMarzio, Sr.; daughter, Valorie A. Ray and her husband, Jeffrey of Auburn; her son, Albert R. DiMarzio, Jr. and his wife Monica of West Boylston; her sister, Grace Mysliwicz of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Almeida of Worcester.

    Rose was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of John and Evelyn (Grenon) Doherty and graduated from St. Peter's High School. She worked at JJ Newburys and managed the money market and cash office at Zayre and Ames for over 30 years before retiring. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She will be sadly missed. She was a member of Our lady of the Angels Church.

    The funeral will be on Tuesday, February 2 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours will be Monday, February 1 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
