Rose Alice (Lundstrom) Day passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15 after a brief illness.

Rose was born in Worcester, daughter of John S. and Elin (Rosenlund) Lundstrom and graduated from Commerce High School in 1943. She was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and the Daughters of Emanuel. She lived her entire life in the house she was born in. Rose bowled in the Auburn Senior League well into her 80s and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and traveling with friends, but most of all she loved her time spent with family and going to the casinos.

Rose was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Warren I. Day Sr. in 1997, and a brother, Ralph Lundstrom and his wife Shirley. Rose will be dearly missed by her sons, Warren I. Day Jr. and his wife Joan of Marlborough and Allan R. Day and his wife Marsha of Whitinsville, four grandchildren, Kenneth Day, Mathew Day, Joel Day, and Melissa McAllister and eight great grandchildren, Madeleine, Haley, Kelsey, Adam, Carson, Morgan, Carley and Elin. She will also be dearly missed by a special “Granddaughter” Alexa and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 20th at Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street with a visiting hour from 10 until 11 am immediately followed by a Service at 11am. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street, Worcester, MA 01607.
