Ronald R. Hale, 56, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 23, 2006.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rose (Najarian) Hale; his mother, Rita Hale of Worcester; his son, Warren Hale of Orlando, FL; his daughter and son-in-law, Krystan & Frank DiGregorio of Hoboken, NJ; his grandson, Michael A. DiGregorio of Hoboken, NJ;  3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman & Linda Hale, Raymond & Louise Hale, and Malcolm & Alice Hale; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty & Thomas Gignilliat and Barbara & William Woods; several nieces & nephews; and several friends, including his life-long friend, Al Etre.

He was born in Worcester, son of Rita (Veraneau) and the late Arthur Hale.  He served in the Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran.  Ron worked at Wyman-Gordon Co. for approximately 40 years and was a member of the U.S. Steel Workers Union.  He was a member of YMCA Central Branch Worcester and was a champion racquetball player.  He loved Windjammer Cruise vacations and was an avid cyclist who passionately raised money for the Jimmy Fund. This would have been his 21st year cycling for the Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for cancer.  Ron will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m. in Armenian Church of Our Saviour.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., today, Wednesday, July 26, from 5-8 p.m. Please omit flowers.  Donations may be made in memory of Ron Hale to Pan Mass Challenge, 77 Fourth Ave., Needham MA 02494 or to Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St Worcester 01609.
