Subscription Update Obituary

Ronald J. Lambert, 73, of Dudley Road, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster, after being stricken ill at home. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia A. (Luby) Lambert, of Oxford; two sons, Ronald J. Lambert Jr. and his wife Karen of Charlton and Mark A. Lambert and his wife Diane of Worcester; a sister, Joyce Riedl, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; six grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his daughter Michele Lambert of Worcester, who died in 1965; and by his four brothers, Alfred, Edward, Eugene, and Frederick; and his two sisters, Gloria Lebel and Yvette Lambert. He was born in Worcester, the son of Athanase and Celina (Lamoreaux) Lambert, and lived in Worcester for many years before moving to Oxford 28 years ago. For the past 12 years, Ronald spent 6 months of the year in Oxford and six months in Bonita Springs, Florida. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Lambert worked as a carpenter and belonged to the Carpenter's Union, Local 107 for 45 years. He was a member of the American Legion Vernon Hill Post # 435 of Worcester and the Moose Lodge #1454 of Bonita Springs, FL.

A funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 9, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
