Ronald E. Kraus Sr., 68, of 29 Grove Street, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Janet L. (Williams) Krause. He also leaves one son, Ronald E. Jr. of Barre; a daughter, Brenda L. Baker of North Brookfield; two sisters: Barbara Gaudette and Viola Benoit of Spencer; two grandchildren: Rebecca L. Krause and Joseph Baker. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Douglas Krause and a sister, Loraine Maderosian. He was born in Bristol, Connecticut, son of Albert and Irene (Throw) Krause and had lived in Spencer for over 40 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and worked for Donahue Industries of Shrewsbury for 33 years, retiring in 2000. Ronald was a member of the Spencer Congregational Church, the Spencer Fish and Game and the NRA. He enjoyed his many hours of hunting and fishing. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13 at 9:00 A.M at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
