Subscription Update Obituary

   Roland R. Perra, 76, of 31 Donnelly Rd., died Tuesday, Feb. 10 at his home.

   He leaves his wife of 55 years, Muriel F. (Lussier) Perra; six "in laws", Theresa Anderson, Raymond, Roger, and Eugene Lussier, Constance O'Toole and Jeannette Dailida; and several nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.

   Mr. Perra was a stockroom manager at Heald Machine Co. in Worcester, where he worked for 39 years, retiring in 1992.

   Born in Worcester, he was the son of Alfred and Helena (Cote) Perra.

   Roland was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, and was a former coach for Spencer Pop Warner Youth Football for many years, as well as an ardent supporter of area youth sports programs. He was an avid "Pigeon Sportsman" belonging to several area pigeon racing clubs.

   A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608 or Leicester/Spencer Pop Warner Football, c/o Dan Colby, 1 Pine St., Leicester, Ma. 01524.
