Subscription Update Obituary

     Roland P. Laprade Jr., 59, of Griswold, CT, died on Saturday, July 14, in the William W. Backus Hospital, after being stricken ill.
    
Mr. Laprade is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rachel A. (Primeau) Laprade; three sons, Brian C. Laprade and his wife Darcy of Bristol, CT, Keith M. Laprade and his wife Jamie of Worcester and Todd P. Laprade of Griswold, CT; his mother, Therese E. Laprade of Charlton; two brothers, Richard R. Laprade of Worcester and Edward C. Laprade of Charlton; two sisters, Ann P. Berube of Worcester and Lisa A. McManus of Charlton; a grandchild, McKenna E. Laprade and several nephews and nieces.
    
Roland was born in Worcester, son of Roland "Pete" Laprade and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He was a self employed corporate recruiter who enjoyed spending time with his family.
    
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 18 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester, MA with a Mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois St., Worcester, MA. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, July 17 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Mr. Laprade's name may be made to a charity of choice.
