Subscription Update Obituary

Robert (Bob) W. Robertson,78, of Leicester, died peacefully Monday, Jan. 19th at St. Vincent Hospital. He was the husband to his beloved wife Donna M. (Orciani) Robertson who passed away in 2021. He leaves behind two sons; Alan J. Robertson and his wife Elena of East Setauket, NY., and Brian W. Robertson and his wife Joy of Westford, his four beloved grandchildren; Connor, Aiden, Ella and David, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers; Gordon, Donald and Arnold Robertson and sisters; Jean Blondin and Judith Robertson.

Robert was born in Worcester, the son of Percy and Florence (Tatman) Robertson and graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical School as a printer and later earned an Associate’s Degree in business from Becker Junior College. He served his country proudly as a radio repair technician for with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged he met and married his wife Donna and moved to Leicester where they raised their two boys and spent 50 wonderful years together before her passing.

Bob spent his career as a service technician and repairman, most recently with Worcester Scale Co. Prior to that time he owned and operated B&B Scale in Worcester, Ma. He was an accomplished bowler, avid golfer, fisherman and lifelong New England Sports fan. He coached youth baseball and basketball and was a friend to everyone around him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 28th at 10 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, Jan. 27th, from 5 to 7p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.38105.
