Subscription Update Obituary

Robert W. Ritchie, 85, of Worcester died Tuesday, August 2nd 2011 at home. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Catherine D. (O’Leary) Ritchie; three sons, Brad Ritchie of Spencer, Francis Ritchie and Robert Ritchie both of Worcester; four daughters, Eileen Kramek of Worcester, Shirley Oleary of St. Petersburg, FL, Cheryl Knowlton of Worcester and Karen Ritchie of Warren; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Mr. Ritchie was born in Interlaken, New York the son of Willard and Frances (Williams) Ritchie. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Mr. Ritchie was a member of the Retired Men’s Club of Greendale and the American Legion Main South Post 341.

The funeral is Monday, August 8th with a service at 10:00 A.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, August 7th from 3:00 until 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
