Subscription Update Obituary

     Robert S. Berry, Sr., 85, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Oakdale Skilled Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family.
     He leaves his wife of 55 years, Genevieve T. (Laukaitis) Berry; daughter, Robin S. Logan of W. Boylston; daughter-in-law, Susan D. Berry of Sterling; five grandchildren, Erica Keith, Jr. and Matthew Logan and Timothy and Kyle Berry; a great granddaughter, Aubrey Benoit; a sister Grace C. Fulginiti of Shrewsbury; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Robert S. Berry, Jr. in 2011 and six siblings, Beatrice, Irene, Dorothy, Mabel, Edward and Richard.
     He was born in Worcester, son of Stephen H. and Rella (Mayo) Berry, graduated from Worcester Boys Trade and was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Bob was an electrician and worked at Wyman Gordon for many years retiring in 1992, and previously worked at U.S. Steel and Wire. He was a member of St. Christopher’s Church, enjoyed working in his yard and was always involved in a project at home. Bob was a loving and devoted grandpa and loved to attend the kid’s games and events.
     The funeral will be held on Monday, February 4 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston with a Mass at 10:00 am at St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Sunday, February 3 from 1-3 PM at the funeral home.
