Subscription Update Obituary

    Robert K. Best, 75, of 11 Longhorn Trial died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in his home after an illness.

    He leaves his wife of 26 years, Lois E. (LaForce) Best; two sons, Michael Best of Brookfield, Kenneth Best of Worcester; three daughters, Donna Kenney and her husband Michael of Charlton, Diane Greenwood and her husband Michael of Brookfield, Robin Russell and her husband Ken of Charlton; two step-sons, William J. Pierce of Florida, Kenneth C. Pierce and his wife Elaine of Southbridge; a brother, Kenneth Best and his wife Patricia of West Yarmouth; five grandchildren, Shawn, Michael, Christopher, Daniel and Jordan; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Lucy. He is pre-deceased by a brother, Richard Best.

    Mr. Best was born in Worcester, son of Kenneth and Helen (Harrington) Best. He was a custodian for the City of Worcester for many years before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed watching horse racing and listening to country music.

    The funeral will be held Friday, July 2 at 10:00 AM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to V.N.A. Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
