Subscription Update Obituary

     Robert J. “Ozzie” O’Grady, 67, of Worcester, was stricken ill and died Tuesday, August 14 at St. Vincent Hospital.
    
He leaves a daughter, Shannon K. Lafayette and her husband Paul of Leicester; a son, Sean P. O’Grady and his wife Maureen of Braintree; two grandsons: Aiden and Kieran O’Grady of Braintree; two brothers: John O’Grady and Ralph J. O’Grady, both of Holden; a sister, Margaret Coffey of Worcester, nephews and nieces. His brother, Daniel O’Grady and his sister, Joan M. Crowley, predeceased him.
    
Robert was born in Worcester, son of Ralph E. and Nona M. (Reynolds) O’Grady and lived in Worcester all his life. He attended Commerce High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was highly experienced and knowledgeable about automotive parts. He worked in sales for several parts stores, including many years at Beacon Auto on Chandler St. in Worcester.
    
Ozzie loved Cape Cod, reading novels and golfing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
    
Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Friday, August 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
