Subscription Update Obituary

     Robert J. McCluskey, Sr., 78, passed away Saturday, July 26th. Robert’s wife, Dolores (Rodriguez) McCluskey, passed away in 2008. He leaves three children, Debbie A. Mathews of Worcester, Ann-Marie Ebbeling and her husband Ronald of Whitinsville and Mark S. McCluskey of Worcester; his brother, Richard W. McCluskey and his wife Phyllis of Worcester; two sisters, Patricia A. Larson of Worcester and Betty Ann Gregoriou and her husband Anthony of Charlton; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Robert’s son, Robert J. McCluskey, Jr. and brothers, John L. and Byron McCluskey predeceased him.

Robert was born in Worcester the son of Bernard F. and Mary A. (Bolton) McCluskey and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He worked for the City of Worcester School Department for many years retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Worcester Surfcaster’s Club and loved the outdoors. Robert loved traveling to Florida and Cape Cod spending time with family and friends.

Robert’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 31st from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 1st at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
