Subscription Update Obituary

    Robert J. LaFleur Sr., 79, of Spencer, died on Sunday, December 6th in his home after an illness.

    Mr. LaFleur is survived by his wife of 23 years Mary A. (Raposa) LaFleur; his children Robert J. LaFleur, Jr. of Granby, MA, Patricia Clemmey of Worcester, Ruthanne MacDonald of Manchester, NH, Kenneth P. Flynn of Oxford, Ronald P. Flynn Jr. of Hubbardston, Henry H. Flynn of San José, CA, Mark W. Flynn of Rutland, Carrina Keller of Barre and Kelly St. Charles of Spencer; a brother Arthur L. LaFleur, Jr. of Arizona; 22 grandchildren, six great grandchildren with a seventh great grandchild expected within the next month and many nieces and nephews.

    Mr. LaFleur was born in Worcester, MA son of the late Arthur and Nettie (Cox) LaFleur and is predeceased by a son John T. LaFleur, Sr. and a brother Francis LaFleur.

    Robert is a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years at Anchor Motor Freight and was a member of the Teamsters Local 170. He also enjoyed playing pitch.

    A funeral will be held Thursday, December 10th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond Street, Worcester with a Mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 10th in the funeral home.
