Robert (Bob) E. Jones, of Paxton, MA, died peacefully on March 9, 2026 in Warren RI.
Born in Worcester, MA, a son of the late Edgar B. and Gladys S. (Premo) Jones, he lived in Paxton for over 60 years.
Mr. Jones was the owner and operator of the Robert E. Jones Insurance Agency for more than 60 years, where he was known for his dedication to his clients and his commitment to serving the community he called home.
Mr. Jones proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean conflict. He served honorably and was discharged in 1953.
Bob was an active member of the Worcester VFW, the Elks Lodge, and the Lions Club. He was an avid collector of a vast array of antiques and collectibles. Bob had a special love for horse racing and was the proud owner of several racehorses, taking great pleasure in watching them compete at tracks throughout the Northeast.
He is survived by his Sister-in-Law, Theresa Jones of Barrington, RI, several nieces and nephews, Deborah Jones of East Greenwich, RI; Alan Jones and his wife Carole Steele, of Bristol, RI; Sandra Huftalen and her husband, Peter, of Charleston, SC; Kevin Jones and his wife, Jennifer, of Barrington, RI; Linda Jones of Chesapeake, VA; Michael Jones of Ogunquit, ME; and Scott Landgren and his wife Karla of Natick, MA; along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. Bob also leaves behind his dear long-time friend, Paul Martin of Worcester, MA. Bob was pre-deceased by the love of his life of more than 40 years, Carol Gorsky. He was the brother of the late Richard E. Jones, William E. Jones, Rodney E. Jones, Gayle Greene, Kenneth Premo, and Helen Hadley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at the Worcester County Memorial Park in the section, Garden of Good Shepherd, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA on Friday March 13, 2026 at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow.
