Subscription Update Obituary

Robert D. Chabot 85, of 78 Upton St. died Thursday at home after an illness. His first wife, Helen (Dudley)Chabot died in 1967 and his second wife, Lillia C. (Logan) Chabot died in 1987.  He leaves a son, Peter Chabot of Thompson, Conn.; four daughters, Claire Wilson of Saco, Maine, Louise Gagnon of Auburn, Lucille Gaudette of Dudley and Marie Mott of Worcester; three stepsons;a stepdaughter; a sister Lucille Chabot of  South Dennis; 22 grandchildren;15 great grandchildren; nephews and neices.  A twin son, Paul R. Chabot died in 1971.  he was born and raised in Lawrence, son of Louis and Lumina (Duford) Chabot. He lived many years in Worcester and 30 years in Grafton.  Mr. Chabot worked for 25 years at Heald Machine, a division of Cincinnati Milacron Inc. in Worcester, retiring in 1976.  He previously worked for 12 years at Reed & Prince in Worcester.  He was a part-time mechanic for many years at Doc Chauvin Marina in Worcester. 

He was a member of St. Philips Church and of the Greendale Retired Men's Club in Worcester. 

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Philip's church, Chruch and West  Streets.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. At his request, there are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Central Mass.,120 Thomas St. ,Worcester, 01608.  Robert C. Roney funeral Home, 152 Worcester St. North Grafton, Ma. is directing arrangements.
