Subscription Update Obituary

    Robert B. Morin passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011, in Shrewsbury Nursing Home. He was born in Fall River, son of E. Joseph and Georgianna (Robert) Morin. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1954. He was a life member of the Marine Corps League Worcester Detachment and the American Legion Greendale Post. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Shrewsbury and past member of Our Lady of the Rosary. Bob was a bus driver for the Worcester Regional Transit Authority, retiring with 30 years of service.

    He is survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters – Michel Morin and his wife, Geraldine; Anne A. (Morin) Russell and her husband, Frederick; Daniel L. Morin and his wife, June; Laurent P. Morin; Marie A. (Morin) Martin and her husband, Stephen; Angela M. (Morin) Merulla; and Thomas Morin and his wife, Debra; 6 grandchildren – Adrien and Alex Morin, Caitlin and Natalie Russell, Jennifer Cabana, and Joseph Merulla; a brother Edgar R. Morin and his wife, Rita; and a sister-in-law, Rita (Mrs. Charles) Morin. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Charles Morin.

    Calling hours will be at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, Thursday, February 3, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral will be held Friday, February 4 from Nordgren Memorial Chapel with an 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's Parish, 60 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marine Corps League Worcester Detachment, Scholarship Fund, 181 Lake Ave., Worcester MA 01605.
