Subscription Update Obituary

    Robert A. "Bob" Shilale, 66, of 88 Masonic Home Rd., passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

    Bob leaves behind his mother, Anna (Zolnowski) Shilale of Charlton; 4 children, Robert A. Shilale, Jr. of Worcester, Matthew J. Shilale of Millbury, Tammy Shilale of West Springfield, and Heather Shilale of Charlton. He also leaves behind a close friend, Barbara S. Dougherty and her family.

    Bob was born in Worcester, son of the late Anthony Shilale and graduated from Commerce High in 1962, He then entered and served in the U.S.Navy for 4 years. Bob graduated from Leicester Jr. College in 1969 and Clark University in 1980.

    He was an accountant for the former Crompton and Knowles Co. then worked at Central Oil. He later worked at the Masonic Home. Bob enjoyed sports, especially all the Boston teams. He also enjoyed the company of his cat "Macy".

    The Funeral will be Monday, March 22, 2010 with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd., Ext. in Charlton. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours for Bob will be Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at the Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd. in Charlton.
