Subscription Update Obituary

Rita O. (Lusignan) Margadonna, 91, of 51 Grove Street died Friday, April 29, 2011 in Radius Healthcare of Worcester.

Her husband, Francis C. Margadonna died in 2001. She leaves two sons, Alfred R. Margadonna and his wife Nancy of Dyre, TN, and Leonard “Lucky” G. Margadonna and his wife Cindy of Leicester, three grandchildren, Lorne, Lee & Jessica Margadonna, a great-grandson, Jake Margadonna, several step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Margadonna was born in Worcester, daughter of Henry and Merilda (Bouthillette) Lusignan. She was the Cafeteria Manager at the Leicester Primary School for 23 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Pius X Church, Red Hat Society of Leicester, Senior Citizen Club of Leicester and the Friends of the Elders in Leicester. She was once a volunteer for F.I.S.H. driving meals to the elderly. She once used to translate books into brail for the sight impaired.

Rita’s funeral will be held Wednesday, May 4 from MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday May 3 from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association , 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02427.
