Rita M. (Desrosiers) Kassabian, 94, a longtime Worcester resident died on Monday, August 27th in the Harrington Hospital after a short illness.
     Rita is survived by many nieces and nephews; and her brother- and sister-in-law, David and Betty Kassabian. She was predeceased by her husband, Garabed Kassabian who died in 1991; and two sisters, Lillian St. Pierre and Antoinette Meserve. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Elzear and Delina (Gaumond) Desrosiers.
     Mrs. Kassabian worked at Worcester Envelope Company for 49 years and retired in 1983 as a machine operator. She enjoyed life to the fullest to the very end. The family would like to thank the staff at Webster Manor Nursing Home and Harrington Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care.
     The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 29th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM in the funeral home before the funeral.
