Subscription Update Obituary

   Rita A. (Guerro) Mohamed, 74, passed away on November 10, 2008 in UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, after a brave battle against cancer. Her beloved husband of 40 years, Russell J. Mohamed, pre-deceased her on December 8, 1996.

   She is survived by her son, Russell J. Mohamed Jr. of Worcester; her three daughters, Donna Farrow of New Braintree, Cynthia DeMarco of Spencer, and Cheryl Kilmer of Worcester; her seven beloved grandchildren, Stacy Farrow of Worcester, Kerri (Mohamed) Boulmetis of Worcester, Russell Mohamed of Worcester, Jason Farrow and Jeremy Farrow of New Braintree, Michael Kilmer of Worcester, and Nicholas DeMarco of Spencer; her beloved great-grandson, Jonas Russell Morin of Worcester; her sister, Shirley Mancuso of Leicester; and her brother, Richard Guerro of Holden.

   Rita was born and raised in Worcester and attended Worcester public schools. She moved from Worcester in 1998, and resided briefly in both Oxford and Auburn, before moving to New Braintree.

   She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Russell, and above all, spending time with her loving family. She worked in the housekeeping department at the former Memorial Hospital in Worcester for many years before retiring.

   Rita was a loving and compassionate woman who made a lasting impression on all the lives she touched. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

   Visiting hours for Rita will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday November 12 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. The funeral service will be on Thursday November 13 from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester with a Mass at 10 a.m in Saint Peter's Catholic Church, 935 Main St. in Worcester. She will be laid to eternal rest next to her beloved husband at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
