Subscription Update Obituary

    Richard W. “Dick” Walsh, 81, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in his residence. His wife, Jeanne (Coyle) Walsh, died in 2005.

    He leaves, a son, Michael R. Walsh; five daughters: Donna M. Warren, Kathleen A. Lopez, Lynne F. Stewart, Kelly A. Turner, Patricia A. Petit; three stepsons: Richard J., Timothy A., and James A. Leahy and a stepdaughter, Kathleen J. Leahy; two brothers: Francis and Robert Walsh, all of Worcester; thirty-one grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; his former wife and good friend, Helene A. Holmes, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Maurice J. Walsh, Jr., and a stepson, Dennis M. Leahy. He was born in Worcester, a son of Maurice J. and Amelia R. (LeBeau) Walsh.

    Mr. Walsh retired from New England Grocers in Westborough. He also owned and operated R.W. Walsh Trucking Company. Most recently he worked delivery for George’s Flower Shop. Dick will be greatly missed by his friends at Guertin’s Café.

    A funeral will be held on Saturday, August 21 in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. with a service at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, August 20 from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
