    Richard K. Hickey, 65, of 47 Pleasant Street, died Sunday, February 26th in the Coes Pond Hospice Residence. He leaves his wife, Susan P. (Paul) Hickey, 2 sons, Todd R. and Marc P. Hickey both of Leicester, 3 brothers, Francis R. Hickey, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Auburn, Robert P. and his wife Joyce Hickey of Montgomery, NY and Kevin J. Hickey of West Boylston, 5 sisters, Sandra A., wife of Donald S. Cook of Scituate, Sheila J., wife of Albert Raymond of Rochdale, Sharon P. McManus of Charlton, Cheryl M., wife of Daniel E. Jalbert of Shrewsbury and Patricia D. Kneeland of West Boylston, a granddaughter Felicia S. Hickey of Worcester, 22 nephews and nieces, and 30 grand nephews and grand nieces. He also is survived by his mother and father-in-law Marion C. Boyle of Worcester, and Charles A. Paul of Millbury, and brother-in-laws, Jack Sepavich and Charles A. Paul.


    He was born in Worcester the son of Francis R. and Doris (Becklund) Hickey and was a graduate of Boys Trade. He had served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era, and later in the Naval Reserve. Mr. Hickey had been a fire fighter for the City of Worcester for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Firefighters Local 1009 and the Rochdale Post, American Legion. Mr. Hickey was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast and enjoyed hunting.


    The funeral is Thursday, March 2nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at Noon in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 1st fro 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
