Rhea A. (Benoit) Johnson, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2012, under the care of the wonderful staff at Sterling Village. She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Napoleon and Margaret (LaTour) Benoit.
She graduated from Commerce High School and lived in Petersham for over 50 years. She spent her last four years at Sunrise Assisted Living in Leominster where she had excellent care and companionship in a beautiful setting. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church in Sterling.
Her husband, Arnold N. Johnson, passed away in 1987. She leaves many nieces and nephews, and she was predeceased by three siblings.
A prayer service celebrating Rhea’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte.12), Sterling. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
