Subscription Update Obituary

Renate K. (Weber) Kempinski, of Charlton, MA, a beloved wife, mother, oma, and
friend passed away on Saturday, June 14th at the age of 85 surrounded by her loving family.
Renate was a warm, compassionate woman who touched the lives of countless people and
provided unwavering support to her family.

Renate was the heart of her home and is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Richard
P. Kempinski, her son Peter T. Kempinski and his wife Lisa of W. Brookfield, MA, her daughter
Heidi M. Kempinski and partner Marc Abadie of Kennebunkport, ME., and her grandson Ryan
Benasutti of Milford, NH.

Renate was born in Erfurt, Germany and ultimately settled in Ludwigsburg, Germany. She came
to the USA in 1961 to marry her sweetheart, Richard, who she met while he was serving in the
Army, stationed in Germany. Renate was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Kaethe
(Kroker) Weber and sister Marlene. Besides her US family, Renate is survived by her brother,
Rolf Weber and his wife Sabine, her sister Regina Wagner (Weber) and her husband Roland, as
well as nieces and cousins all of whom reside in Germany.

Renate was known for her green thumb, German traditions and kind heart; she will be dearly
missed. Private services and a burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be on
Wednesday, June 25, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the
National Kidney Foundation or National Audubon Society.

The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is assisting the family with arrangements.
