Subscription Update Obituary

   Reginald "Bob" D. Richardson, 89, of Nanigian Rd., died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in Rose Monahan Hospice, Worcester after an illness.

   He leaves his wife of 38 years, Margaret (Farrar) Richardson; two sons, Philip Richardson and his wife Linda of Rutland, and Donald Richardson and his wife Janet of Oakham; a daughter, Nancy Richardson of Spencer; 2 stepsons, Charles Teschner of Tennesse and Craig Teschner; 2 stepdaughters, Susan Gaudette of Worcester, and Anne Teschner-Powell of Hatfield; a sister, Ruby Agnew of Auburn, ME; a brother, George U. Richardson, Jr. of Middlebury, VT; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Earl Richardson and a former wife, Eleanor (Shovan) Richardson.

   Bob was born in Morristown, Vermont the son of George U. and Gertrude (Davis) Richardson, Sr. For 23 years he worked as a herdsman and then manager of Sibley Farms in Spencer. He owned and operated Richdell Jersey Farm on Lake Road in Brookfield from 1964 to 1997. He was a past president and director of the Massachusetts Jersey Cattle Club, a member of the New Braintree Grange, Paxton Seniors and an avid gardener.

   A graveside service will be held for Bob at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 22nd, in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA, or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101 First Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden is directing arrangements.
