    Ralph F. Gillespie Sr., 63, of 127 Southbridge Road, formerly of 35 Mechanic St., East Brookfield, a retired assembler, died Saturday, Aug. 19, at home after an illness.
His wife, Donna M. (Crocker) Gillespie, died in 1990. He leaves a son, Ralph F. Gillespie Jr. of Oxford, with whom he lived; four sisters, Shirley Morrow of Paxton, Madeline Veroneau and Mabel Bissonnette, both of Worcester, and Beverly Savage of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, George Gillespie of Sutton and Franklin Gillespie, both died in 1992. He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph and Madeline (Wheeler) Gillespie, and lived in Worcester before moving to East Brookfield in 1977. He moved to Oxford in 1998.
Mr. Gillespie was an assembler for Coppus Engineering, and later worked 27 years for Tuthill Corp. in Millbury, retiring last June. He was a member of Greenville Baptist Church in the Rochdale section of Leicester. He enjoyed music.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, in Greenville Baptist Church, 680 Pleasant St., Rochdale. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenville Baptist Church, 680 Pleasant St., Rochdale, MA 01542.
