Subscription Update Obituary

    R. Shirley (Oslebo) Lind, 88, of Holden, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in Christopher House, Worcester after an illness.

    Her husband of 59 years, C. Raymond Lind, died in 2002. She is survived by four sons, Wayne R. Lind of Key West, FL, Craig R. Lind of Greensboro, VT, Dale R. Lind of Hardwick and Tod R. Lind of Brooklyn, CT; a brother, Ronald O. Oslebo of Holden; a sister, Edith W. Swenson of Holden; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard G. Oslebo and a sister, Ella M. Santimaw. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Ola E. and Thora F. (Engh) Oslebo and lived 86 years in Holden.

    Mrs. Lind graduated from Holden High School and was a supervisor in food service at Paul Revere Insurance Co. in Worcester, retiring in 1984. Previously, she worked for the department store Barnard, Sumner & Putnam Co. in Worcester. She was as a member of the First Baptist Church of Holden, Paul Revere Alpha Retirement Club and a life member of the VFW Post 6907 Ladies Auxiliary in West Boylston. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 27th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1216 Main St., Holden, MA 01520.
