Subscription Update Obituary

     Phyllis T. (Dusoe) Berthiaume, 72, of Dana Road, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Robert F. Berthiaume of Oxford who died in 2004.

     She is survived by two children, Anne F. Tremblay and her boyfriend Cliff Wilson of Oxford, and Alan R. Berthiaume and his wife Verena of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Brendon Tremblay, Tyler Tremblay, Nikolas Tremblay, Jordan Tremblay, Kylie Berthiaume, Natalie Berthiaume, and Sophia Berthiaume; a great grandson, Jayce Tremblay; two brothers, Ronald Dusoe and his wife Barbara of Oxford, and Earl Dusoe of Webster; five sisters, Lorraine Cournoyer of Connecticut, Dolores Blain of Connecticut, Barbara Ellms and her husband George of Spencer, Nancy Johnson and her husband Larry of Webster, and Donna Obuchowski and her husband David of Webster; her step mother-in-law, Ernestine Berthiaume of Worcester; her aunt, Stephanie Kos of Auburn; and nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Francis and Antoinette (Siok) Dusoe, and lived most of her life in Oxford.

     Mrs. Berthiaume worked in the cafeteria at the Oxford Public Schools for many years, though she was a stay-at-home mom for most of her life. She was a former member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford, where she taught C.C.D. many years ago. She is a current member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Oxford. Mrs. Berthiaume was a member of St. Joseph’s Polish Women’s Auxiliary in Webster and was involved with the Center of Hope in Southbridge and Special Olympics. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and though she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, she is happiest now reunited with her husband, Bob.

     A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 49 Old Webster Rd., Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center of Hope, P.O. Box 66, Southbridge, MA  01550.  Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
